Lilian is always open to meeting children and young people and hearing about the issues that matter to them.
If your school or organisation would like a visit from Lilian, or for her to attend an event, please do email lilian.greenwood.mp@parliament.uk or call 0115 711 7000 to enquire.

Groups of young people making education visits to the UK Parliament from Nottingham South may be eligible for a travel subsidy to help support the cost of travel to and from the UK Parliament. This includes visits booked via UK Parliament’s Education and Engagement Team and Inside UK Parliament tours booked by Lilian.
The full terms and conditions can be found on the Travel Subsidy T&C’s page. Please contact the Business Support Team if you have any questions.

UK Parliament provides free education services and resources for schools, colleges, communities, youth groups and home educators. They provide face-to-face, online, and outreach sessions for different age ranges and abilities. You can find more information and their free resources here.

UK Parliament Week is an annual event, spreading the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how you can get involved. This year’s Parliament Week took place from 18-24th November 2024.
Anyone can get involved. When you sign up, UK Parliament will send you a free kit packed with resources. You can tailor what you receive depending on the age groups you are working with.
There are lots of different ways to celebrate UK Parliament Week, such as:
– organising or taking part in a debate or a quiz
– discussing issues and holding votes
– creating petitions
– themed assemblies and school council elections
– baking, crafting and colouring
– meeting your MP, a member of the Lords, local councillors, or mayors – either in person or virtually.
When you sign up, UK Parliament will ask if they can let Lilian know, as your MP, that you’re taking part. If you would like to, please get in touch with Lilian to invite her to your activity. Alternatively, you could invite a Member of the Lords, a local Nottingham City councillor or elected mayor.

UK Parliament has its own Teacher Network. Their teacher training team provides training, resources and support for teachers to help them engage their students in learning about UK Parliament and democracy. Tours and workshops for the new generation of teachers are delivered at Parliament and in universities and other teacher training centres across the UK.
You can find more information and resources from the UK Parliament Teacher Network here.
