I was very proud to join the launch of the Women’s Quilt today as part of International Women’s Day. It was a moving tribute to the 598 women murdered by their husbands and partners from 2009 – 2015. The Women’s Quilt project is inspired by these women to commemorate each one and raise awareness of domestic violence. The quilt is made up of 598 square patches, each square represents a life that has been lost and is dedicated to all 598 women.
