Lilian visited the new flower themed playground which has now opened much to the delight of Clifton children and young people. “It was great to see the Labour City Council’s investment in children’s play equipment being enjoyed by families in Clifton a few weekends ago. All the children and parents I spoke to were delighted about the new playground and this is just one of dozens of projects to improve Nottingham’s parks and enable families to enjoy free leisure activities.”
“It is the 76th new playground that has been created Councillor Dave Trimble, Nottingham City Council portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: The addition of a play area was one of the main improvements local people wanted on Flower Park. by Nottingham City Council in the last 9 years and this is something we are very proud of. ”
The play area and other improvements are funded by £50,000 from WREN (Waste Recycling Environmental Network) and £35,000 from NET (Nottingham Express Transit), which includes future maintenance. Other enhancements being funded at the park include a noticeboard and a new coat of paint for the park railings.
