After receiving over 1,100 entries this year from 19 schools in Nottingham South a winner has been chosen.  We are delighted to say that the winning design was from Nina Mansfield age 5 from Middleton Primary School in Wollaton.  The design caught the judges eye straight away.

Lilian visited Middleton Primary school today with Nicola Tidy, Marketing and Communications Director of Nottingham City Transport, who were one of our sponsors this year, to present Nina with her prizes.

As part of her prize Nina and her family will be visiting Lilian at the House of Commons for a tour of the Houses of Parliament and lunch on the terrace overlooking the River Thames. Nina received a £100 voucher courtesy of Nottingham City Transport and 2 tickets to the Theatre Royal Pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.

Lilian said “This is the seventh year of my Christmas card competition and the standard is as high as ever. Visiting schools across my constituency I meet Nottingham children with incredible imagination and creativity. They’re a real credit to their families, their teachers and their schools and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate the fantastic talent we have in our city.”

A special thank you to our sponsors this year Nottingham City Transport and Robin Hood Energy for all their help and support with the competition.  Also special thanks to our supporters, East Midlands Trains, Theatre Royal, Toys R Us, Nottingham Panthers, Nottingham Post, Nottingham Contemporary and 4sheets design and print for their continuing support of such a wonderful competition.

All winning entries, including all the Best in School designs will be featured in an exhibition at the Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of December 2016.
