Local charity Nottingham Music Hub have created an interactive, musical, pirate-themed Quest to take your young musicians and adventurers through the summer – with the help from a familiar CBBC celebrity Andy Day.

CBBC’s Andy will be familiar to followers of ‘Wild Adventures’ and ‘Safari Adventure’ – The Hub are delighted to be joined by him for their very own musical adventure. You may already have seen Andy’s launch video across the Hub’s social media channels – it is poised to be a great help in keeping children entertained across the summer! Children and families from across the country are invited to take part.

From the first Monday of the summer holiday, treasure hunters will follow a map and decipher clues to navigate the Isle of Lontano; scale the Mountains of Major, clamber the Mountains of Minor; dice with the white water of the Rapido Rapids and surf the Sea of Sharps to discover the Lost Chord and unlock the treasure!

The Music Hub are committed to ensuring that a high level of inspirational music education is accessible and available to all. Despite current restrictions, staff have continued to bring a virtual music curriculum to up to 80 per cent of Nottingham’s young people throughout lockdown and MusiQuest is an exciting new edition to their excellent work. Those who have followed the work of The Music Hub will note that MusiQuest2020 is the first time the hub has run a project to span the summer holiday as the wanted to ensure children remain entertained and challenged over the summer break.

Treasure seeking youngsters (and their carers) should go to http://www.nottinghammusichub.org.uk/challenges/music-quest-2020 for all the information you will need to begin the Quest!
