Lilian today visited Dunkirk FC to learn about plans to improve the club’s facilities.

Club Treasurer, Cyril Allen, who has been with the club for 46 years, was happy to get Lilian’s support for a grant bid they’re currently putting together.

The club currently has 175 children from Dunkirk, Lenton and across other parts of Nottingham on its books, and to meet growing demand, wants to improve its club house.

After giving Lilian a tour of the club’s current facilities, Cyril said:

“We have been on this site since 1974 and we need the grant to improve our clubhouse. This includes improving disability access, our heating and lighting and installing a new kitchen, solar panels, ceiling and insulation as well as new toilets and security grills.”

Lilian said:

“Dunkirk FC are a model community football club and I’m delighted to support their grant bid.  I wish them every success and hope that next time I visit it will be to have a look at their new facilities.”
