The Nottingham South constituency covers the wards of Bridge, Clifton North, Clifton South, Dunkirk and Lenton, Leen Valley, Radford and Park, Wollaton East and Lenton Abbey and Wollaton West.

The constituency extends from Nottingham city centre, including the Old Market Square and the Lace Market, out to the southern boundary of the Clifton estate and the western edges of Nottingham University and Wollaton.

The constituency includes two univerisites (The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University) and the Queen's Medical Centre hospital. Lilian has a local office in central Nottingham.
