At the end of December councillors voted unanimously to reject the proposal to build on the Radford Bridge Allotments. The refusal follows a long campaign by the North Wollaton Residents' Association which organised a petition against the development that was signed by over 3,000 people.
Local MP Lilian Greenwood shared campaigners concerns over the potential loss of one of Nottingham's remaining green spaces and the resulting impact on local services ammenities, including schools and roads. A copy of her objection letter can be found here.
