City MP, Lilian Greenwood will announce the winner of the competition to design her official Christmas Card for 2010 at Mellers School in Radford.
The first, of what will be an annual competition, was open to all primary schools in Nottingham South and was judged by a panel including Charlie Walker, Projects Editor for the Nottingham Evening Post and Reverend Alison Maddocks of the City Centre Parish of All Saints, St Mary and St Peter.
The winner and three runners up will have their designs featured on a professionally printed card that will be sent to people across Nottingham and Westminster.
Lilian Greenwood said:
"I received hundreds of entries to this year's competition. The standard was very high, with some excellent designs, making it very difficult to choose a winner and just three runners up.
I'd like to thank the judges who helped me whittle it down to the final four and to the many local businesses who have generously supported this project, and through it children across Nottingham South in their artistic endeavours!
I can't wait to announce the winners on Friday and to see the final product, printed and ready to go."
