Lilian today visited Nottingham Women's Centre's newly refurbished library.

Lilian joined Deputy Leader of Nottingham City Council, Graham Chapman, to launch the Fair Funding campaign today. 

This week Lilian signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment, in doing so pledging her commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day and honouring those who were murdered during the Holocaust as well as paying tribute to the extraordinary Holocaust survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people.

Lilian was delighted to join celebrations at the Houses of Parliament on Monday, marking 25 years of Nottingham Forest in the Community and the launch of the club's youth employment fundraising campaign.

Lilian today visited Clinical Pathology Services at the QMC and spent the morning shadowing Laboratory Assistant and constituent Donna Hinchcliffe.

Lilian has written to the Highways Agency and Nottingham City Council urging them to note strong public support for the idea of naming the upgraded A453 in commemoration of British soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

Today Lilian was delighted to spend a day with Nottingham Citizens and members of their constituent organisations including Pilgrim Church in the Meadows, St Barnabus RC Cathedral, University of Nottingham Students' Union, the Royal College of Nursing, Hope Church in Clifton and the Karimia Institute

During Questions to the Business Secretary, Vince Cable, on 8th January, Lilian highlighted the impact of exploitative zero-hours contracts.

During the Secretary of State for Health’s Commons Statement on major incidents being declared at a number of hospitals, Lilian highlighted the impact of the Government’s deep cuts to social care and how they are undermining the efforts of dedicated NHS and social care staff.
